Who owns the photos and videos?
All photos and videos are owned by Shane Riggle Photography, LLC and cannot be reused for other listings, transferred to other individuals, or reproduced in any way. A temporary usage license is granted to the agent or client that expires when the property is sold, removed from the MLS as an active listing, or is transferred to another realtor.
Can I reuse your amenity shots for my other listings or give them to other agents?
No. All photos are the intellectual property of Shane Riggle Photography, LLC and cannot be reused or transferred to others. You are given a temporary usage license when you purchase a photo package that is only good for that specific listing.
How does licensing work on rental & FSBO properties?
You own the photos and videos. This is why the pricing for rental and FSBO properties is higher than the pricing for properties that are going to be listed for sale on the MLS. Rental and FSBO packages include licensing permissions allowing for unlimited use across platforms such as Airbnb, VRBO, Zillow, etc. Shane Riggle Photography, LLC has the right to use them for marketing and promotional purposes such as for use on our website and social media pages.
How do I prep for my photo shoot?
Staging, cleaning, and de-cluttering of the interior as well as freshening up the exterior landscaping are vital and will greatly improve the marketability of your listing. We may move small items (flowers, pictures, etc.) to improve the photo composition, but everything else will need to be in place prior to our arrival.
Having the property ready beforehand is a must so that we can arrive on time to our other scheduled shoots. Click HERE to download our photo prep sheet that has specifics on items that will need to be done a couple days out from your scheduled shoot and others that will need to be done just prior to our arrival. If a video is is done, if possible it is best to have everyone off the property for the shoot. If additional onsite time is required due to the property not being ready upon our arrival, charges may occur.
How do you shoot?
We use a combination of natural light and flash exposures to produce some of the highest quality images on the local area MLS.
How do you determine the square footage?
We use the total square footage shown on the property appraiser’s website (not the SFLA). This includes patios, pool decks, garages, etc. Large lots and additional improvements on the property (such as outbuildings, barns, sheds, etc.) may incur additional charges.
What are your payment terms?
Payment is due upon receipt of the photos/videos. We will email you an electronic invoice through Square which can be paid by credit or debit card. You can also pay by check at the time of the photo shoot.
For all rental and for sale by owner properties, we require 50% payment upfront to book the shoot and the remainder is due prior to final photo/video delivery.
Is your pricing based on one trip?
Yes. All pricing is based on the purchase of a photo package in the same trip. Stand alone or return trips for videos or tours are priced the same as a photo package.
Do you charge travel or cancellation fees?
Yes, in certain instances. Click HERE to see them on our pricing page.
When will I receive my photos & videos?
Photos and photo tours are delivered the next day. Virtually staged photos and videos are delivered within 2 days. Large projects may affect these turnaround times.
How do I receive my photos & videos?
You will receive an email with a Dropbox link. The photos will be MLS ready and in walk-through order. You will need to download the photos and video to your computer.
Do you photoshop?
Photoshopping of specific items may be done if requested. Additional charges may apply based on the request.
What if there’s rain or cloudy skies during my shoot?
Blue sky replacements are done on all photos; however, sky swaps cannot be done on videos. We leave that up to your discretion if you want to do the video on the same day or re-schedule it for another day. Return trips for videos or tours are priced the same as a photo package.
What if my listing is in a no-fly zone and aerials aren’t possible?
Drone shots are included in our photo packages because they add a perspective that is unbeatable; however, there can be times when aerials are prohibited due to landscape or airspace restrictions. If this occurs, we will discount your fee by 15%.
What is a cinematic video?
Cinematic videos are slower paced than a reel and include a combination of interior, exterior, and drone footage. They are between 60-90 seconds long depending on the size of the property and are typically shot in horizontal format but can also be done in vertical format. An agent intro/outro can be added to cinematic videos for an additional charge. Click HERE to see examples.
What is a reel?
Reels are dynamic 45 second vertical videos optimized for social media use. They include a simple agent intro/outro, highlights of the property interior, and drone footage. Click HERE to see examples.
What is a Zillow 3D tour?
Zillow 3D tours are 360° virtual tours of the property with interactive floor plans where you can move from room and room and from inside to outside. They will automatically run on Zillow with your listing. We also provide a link for an unbranded version that can be shared on social media or uploaded to the MLS. Click HERE to see an example.
